Banff National Park, Canadian Rockies
Book Now

The trail you’re following twists through thick forests and sun-drenched meadows. But the entire time, your eyes stay glued to the white-tipped mountains rising high against a deep azure sky.  No matter what type of western-style adventure you’re looking for, Banff Trail Riders will give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We’ve been helping travellers explore the wilderness on horseback since 1962. It’s a tradition we’re proud of.   It’s also why we provide travellers with 17 unique trips to choose from. Go trail-riding along the wildlife-rich shores of the Bow River for a few hours, take the family on an authentic cowboy cookout or stay at a comfortable lodge nestled in backcountry.

In the winter, enjoy a classic sleigh ride or take a gentle snowshoeing trip to our roomy Sundance Lodge.

So explore our website, get inspired and then contact us if you need more information.

What It's Like To Explore Banff on Horseback

WINTER

When the snow falls, Banff National Park takes on a quieter and more serene feel. The mountain peaks shimmer with fresh powder and you’re more likely to notice a grazing elk or deer against a backdrop of pure white. That’s why Banff Trail Riders has opened up its Sundance Lodge from mid-December to late March, providing skiers with a very easy way to access the pristine, snow-layered backcountry. Learn More
